four lines of code

moving fast is cheap. staying legitimate is becoming the rare thing.

i could launch a token in about four lines of code. i could probably have it trading by the end of the afternoon. i am not going to.

everywhere i look right now, the incentive is the same. move fast, break things, ship first, ask permission never, and let the cleanup be a later problem for a later person. and in the short window, most of the time, that wins.

but i keep noticing the opposite quietly becoming valuable. the patience to stay legitimate, to do the slower compliant thing, to still be standing and clean when the rules finally arrive. anyone can move fast. very few can stay legitimate long enough for it to compound.

in a world optimized for speed, restraint is the rare asset.

what are you rushing to ship that you would be prouder of if you slowed down and did it right?
