the giraffe movie
the part of you that invents things for no reason is worth protecting.
in the middle of a week with more than fifty meetings, real money on the line, infrastructure on fire and prices being rewritten, i sat down and thought about giraffes.
specifically a movie about giraffes. running. through adventures. encountering challenges. no investors in the room, no pitch, no strategy, no point. just a silly thing my brain wanted to make up.
i think that matters more than it looks. the part of you that invents things for no reason is the same part that does the serious work later. if you only let it out when there is a business model attached, it gets quiet, and then it stops showing up at all.
the creative impulse does not need to be justified. it needs to be protected.
when was the last time you made something with absolutely no point?
