After earning a top engineering degree in France and briefly working a dream corporate job, Sebastian quit within weeks to launch a salsa dance school, then France's first dating coaching company, then an entrepreneurship movement that coached 300,000 people across 41 countries. A COVID survey revealed his clients' biggest bottleneck was turning raw footage into polished video, sparking One Take AI. The tool removes hesitations, background noise, and stutters, adds titles, transitions, and custom-composed music, and translates content into over 100 languages, all from a single upload. Sebastian shares the client pushback that forced him to aim for true one click editing, his contrarian bet against AI avatars in favor of real human presenters, and lessons from writing eleven books. He also opens up about the introvert friendly dating framework he taught for over a decade in France.

Can you explain One Take AI in a line or two?
We solve a huge problem for anyone with an expert based business, like consultants and coaches. There is a gap between knowing your content and turning it into a professional video. After surveying hundreds of entrepreneurs, we found that technical gap was why most people were not publishing. So we built an AI agent that acts like your video guy, removing hesitations, noise, and stutters, adding transitions, titles, music, and translations, so raw footage becomes a polished final video.
You grew up in the French Caribbean and studied at a top engineering school. When did engineering click for you?
Around age 11, during a junior high assessment, I was told I should become a computer scientist. My dad was one of the first engineers, programming with perforated cards, and he passed that passion for computers to all three of his kids. In 1999 my high school buddies and I built a website that got us invited to meet French President Jacques Chirac, and from there I knew the internet was for me.
You got your dream engineering job. What happened next?
Everything was exactly what I'd wanted for nine years, the company, the salary, all of it. Within four weeks I was miserable, waking up before sunrise to work under artificial lights as one of thousands of anonymous engineers. I realized if getting everything you want is that painful, you can't stay. I couldn't find another company I wanted to work for, so the only option left was to create my own.
What's one pattern you noticed that helps people succeed in dating, using your PRINCE method?
Most great guys have female friends who say they can't believe they're single, yet get rejected when they ask them out. The first steps they miss are preparation, building a life that creates opportunities to meet people, and being remarkable, which works especially well for introverts. The key is creating something interesting enough that people come to you, rather than you having to chase every conversation.
Was there a Chat GPT style aha moment that led you into AI, or were you already deep in the tech?
It was well before Chat GPT. I started the project in early 2021 and began selling it about a year before Chat GPT launched, when people literally asked if I meant the Terminator. Our first prototype cut video editing from twelve hours to forty five minutes, and I was thrilled until a client, Victor Damasio, told me he didn't want to work for forty five minutes at all, he wanted one click and done.
How does One Take differ from tools like Descript or StreamYard?
StreamYard is great for live streaming and looks good, but it doesn't actually edit like a human editor would. Descript lets you edit through the transcript, which is faster, but you're still working, still typing and adjusting. One Take is for people who don't want to click around at all. You upload the video, and if you want changes you just message us like you would a video editor on WhatsApp.
Where do you see One Take heading, and how do you view AI avatars replacing creators?
We've raised a seed round and grown to a few thousand paid users, with room to scale to millions. Most AI video startups are racing to replace you with an avatar, but that's a race to the bottom because people come for content but stay for the relationship with the real person. We're betting humans will always want to be the one recorded, and viewers will always want that real relationship.
