What we talked about.

In this year-end special, Sunny Ray sits down with entrepreneur Charles Cormier, his business partner and co-founder of Ras Rocket, for a wide-ranging conversation blending biohacking with big-picture predictions on AGI, robotics, and Bitcoin. Cormier walks through his supplement stack, from NAD+ nasal spray to creatine HCL, and shares the entrepreneurial path that took him from a Canadian neurotropic supplement brand through failed agencies to a scaled cold email business. The two debate whether achieving artificial general intelligence requires giving AI a humanoid body, with Cormier arguing that understanding human consciousness, partly through psychedelics, may matter more than robotics alone. They also dig into why autonomous agents and humanoid robots might eventually transact in Bitcoin rather than fiat, criticism around AI adoption, and Cormier's shifting relationship with books as a learning tool. Personal habits like intermittent fasting, heavy lifting, and visualization round out a conversation that moves fluidly between wellness, technology, and money, closing out the year with equal parts skepticism and excitement about what comes next.

Sunny Ray and Charles Cormier trade biohacking tips before debating AGI, humanoid robots, and whether machines will run on Bitcoin.

The questions, and the answers.

Can you give everyone a quick intro to your background and what you're up to today?

I'm a serial entrepreneur. My first company was a neurotropic supplement company in Canada about 12 years ago, building formulas for students and later entrepreneurs. B2C was brutal, we struggled to break even on Facebook and Instagram ads, and my partner eventually pulled out. I traveled the world, ran a realtor focused Facebook ads agency, then a call center and Google Ads agency, before discovering cold email, which I scaled hugely and still run seven years later.

What does your biohacking stack look like these days?

Today I took NAD+ nasal spray, which crosses the blood brain barrier easily, plus immune support with vitamin C, zinc and oregano oil. I stack eltenine with caffeine and drink coffee alongside guarana for extra energy. I also take Alpha GPC, huperzine and tyrosine for brain function, and creatine HCL, which is seven times more absorbable than regular creatine.

What did you think of Brian Johnson livestreaming a heroic dose mushroom trip?

I'm generally in favor of making more content rather than less, so credit to him for putting it online, that took guts. I've only tried mushrooms once or twice myself, but it was interesting. He seems to be exploring real longevity benefits, so I'll let him experiment on himself and see what works.

What's your take on where we stand with AGI right now?

People freak out about AI, but I don't think we understand the human brain yet, which is really Brian Johnson's whole quest. I believe we're going to merge with AI once we understand our own brains better. It's a two way street, using AI to understand our brain and using our brain to accelerate AI discoveries. Human intelligence is still very much in play, and I think AGI arrives faster once we crack that.

What did you make of the humanoid robot projects that got a lot of attention this year, like Neo?

I thought Neo's video was amazing, a bold vision, and I respect founders who shoot for the stars even without the tech fully there yet. I wasn't a fan of a certain YouTuber trashing the company for it. We should encourage moonshots and people trying to build things, rather than just making takedown videos, which I think does more harm to society than good.

How do you deal with the criticism you get around cold email and leaning so heavily on AI?

I think most hate needs to be separated from facts. Some criticism is valid if you check the person's profile and incentives, but honestly about 80 percent of what we get is unjustified, usually from people not using AI themselves and a bit jealous. AI has reshaped my workflow, my network, and even my core philosophy of energy efficiency, investing one second of time to potentially get a billion back in return.

Are you still bullish on books as a way to learn, or has that changed?

Honestly, I've almost fully discarded books from how I learn. ChatGPT is sycophantic by default, so I prompt it to always argue against me and give me a steelman instead. Books still feel like marketing brochures to me. I actually built a tool this year to help people write books and shut it down quickly because I stopped being bullish on the format.
