What is Final DeFi and why does it matter?

I've been in decentralization and crypto since 2013, so I consider myself an early adopter. Over the years I've seen the industry struggle with many underdelivered promises of decentralization. That's why I started Final DeFi, to solve those problems with a universal layer zero, one, and two solution, a fully scalable, linearly scalable, asynchronous, globally mutable meta blockchain joining different ideas and data structures together.

What did your early years in digital assets teach you that still shapes how you build today?

I watched big players rise and fall and saw real problems in the existing infrastructure. That pushed me to build a universal, all in one solution that's linearly scalable, asynchronous, and globally mutable, essentially a meta blockchain representing the next generation, combining different ideas and data structures together into one design.

How do you approach security in the system you've designed?

Everything I design is redundant. Every algorithm is fully post quantum secure, and at any given moment we use at least two different encryption families, so even if one family breaks the system stays secure. Security starts at the network protocol level, including my own standard of network, identity, and endpoint certificates, which are Turing complete and programmable.

What convinced you the quantum threat is a real engineering problem, not just talk?

I've followed this closely. There are now three types of quantum computers, including two that work at room temperature, with a prototype in China letting chips be combined. I don't think it will take longer than next year for current encryption to fall, especially with Google's advancements that cut the needed number of qubits significantly.

What does a capable quantum computer actually break, and on what timeline?

Most of IT and most businesses are far behind on transitioning. Even in the EU, financial institutions must have pilot programs by year end, which may already be too late given how fast things are moving. Google estimated 2028, but with new quantum chip types like crystal and laser computing, it will happen much faster, possibly already underway in China.

Why did you decide to build a brand new chain instead of patching an existing one?

I wanted to invert a lot of the current architecture and paradigms around financial exchange, data exchange, and security. Very few existing chains were fast enough or secure enough, and scalability was always crypto's core problem, which I finally solved with this design. We built it from the ground up over about two years and roughly a million lines of code.

What is Final DeFi today, and what happens when a user actually uses it?

Our first product is Final Wallet, close to what current users know but with new capabilities. You can always recover your crypto through time locks and guardian wallets, rotate your keys if compromised, and every transaction is an intent published on the final chain first, so you verify before accepting, which prevents man in the middle attacks.

I'm mostly on LinkedIn. Our portal is final-de.fi, and there's a lot more information there about the bigger picture, being the rails for the future internet.
