Why this costs what it costs

$10,000 setup pays for about 50 hours of senior infrastructure work: a 90-min Telos interview, 8 to 10 hours converting the transcript into 16 TELOS files, 8 to 12 hours building custom skills, 4 to 6 hours of connector wiring, 6 to 8 hours of hook authoring plus security, 4 hours for Pulse plus voice plus multi-LLM, and 2 hours for architecture plus handoff. Three objections, answered

"It's open source. I'll hire a dev to set this up for $2k."

The repo is 5% of the value. The other 95% is your Telos, your voice clone, your custom skills, your connectors, and the ongoing operationalization. A dev who installs and disappears leaves you with infrastructure but no system. Do you want a directory, or do you want a digital chief of staff?

"Anthropic's June 15 billing change is going to crater my AI spend anyway."
