Buttercoin

YC and Google Ventures bitcoin exchange

Director of Business Development

Buttercoin was an early lesson in how brutally efficient bitcoin infrastructure markets can be. Backed by Y Combinator and Google Ventures, the company tried to productize white-label exchange technology for remittance and banking partners: the right idea slightly before the market's plumbing could support it at scale.

As Director of BD, I sat inside the Silicon Valley crucible: fast feedback, ruthless prioritization, and the realization that distribution and banking partnerships often move slower than protocol releases.

The company wound down in 2015, but the network and pattern recognition stayed. Many operators from that era carried lessons into the next wave of institutional crypto.

Across two decades the thread stayed coherent: earn credibility in technical and regulated environments, then help founders and institutions move capital and conviction at the frontier of bitcoin, AI, and robotics.
