Quanser is where the robotics thread started in earnest: real hardware, academic rigor, and customers who measure success in repeatability and safety, not tweets. I managed international partners and later owned BD across regions where export controls, education budgets, and technical credibility all had to align.

Years selling into MIT, Stanford, and hundreds of other labs taught me that robotics is a trust business long before it is an AI headline: reliability beats demos.

That foundation is why humanoid and embodied-AI investing feels familiar rather than fashionable: it is the same customer skepticism, just with larger motors.
