ship the imperfect thing before dinner

we shipped a dozen site changes in one afternoon, and half were wrong. the wrongness was the point.

yesterday my site changed maybe fifteen times in one afternoon. buttons moved. copy rewrote itself. a music page appeared. some of it was wrong within the hour.

that wrongness was the point.

every wrong version bought me information no meeting could: my wife saying too many questions. a screenshot showing three website endings stacked on top of each other. a friend confused by who the page speaks to.

the ai makes iteration nearly free. the bottleneck is no longer building, it is deciding, and you cannot decide against a mockup. you decide against the real thing, live, on your phone, at dinner.

perfectionists are still polishing v1 in figma. shippers are on v9 by friday, and v9 is better than any v1 that ever survived a planning meeting.

what are you polishing right now that should already be live?
